Jennifer Abel is the most decorated female diver in Canadian history, with a record-tying eight world medals. She started diving and doing synchronized swimming at the tender age of four.
She is one of the youngest divers to have ever participated in the Olympics and the first woman of color in the world of diving to win a medal at the Olympics. She was the Olympic bronze medallist at the London 2012 Olympic games in women’s three-meter springboard synchronized diving. She was one of the youngest athletes to join the Canadian delegation at the Olympic games in Beijing in 2008. She is a Pan American and Commonwealth Games champion now on the way to her fourth Olympics games, after being a three-time Olympian in 2008, 2012, and 2016.
While training full time, Jennifer has made it her mission to empower young women around the world through acknowledgement of their culture and the realities that young women face today. Numerous short-form documentaries on her life and her road to the Olympics have aired recently—including on CBC Sports and Radio-Canada Sports—and she’s used these platforms to extend her reach in encouraging our youth. Jennifer is regularly invited to speak at youth entrepreneurial events through her partner PwC in Toronto.
Jennifer’s moto is “have no fear”.
She is the official partner of MissFresh, which is part of the METRO INC. group.
